AJ began his Professional Career as a lead guitarist after his brief time at world-renown music school Berklee College of Music. His 2013 debut record, "Out In The Open" caught the attention of Jan Cyrka, the legendary founder of Jam Track Central. This put Al along-side the worlds most prolific modern guitar artists such as Guthrie Govan, Andy James, Marco Sfogli and so much more.

After a decade of shredding heads he noticed a real need in the guitar community, that so many other guitar enthusiasts yearned to play better thus sharing their own passion for the guitar as well. Now it's AJ’s mission in life to share his knowledge of over two decades with guitarists all around the world who are striving to enhance their skills as well. Welcome to the ShredFest Academy!

Course Curriculum

Cycling Methodology

A commonsensical method, yet revolutionary for technical proficiency and control. The key hear is focusing on the problematic areas by using the metronome in a way that prevent interruption. that means no stopping to adjust while you get more reps in while you enhance your rhythmic awareness. This way you can get more repetitions in thus achieving a high comfort level with your movements.

Left Hand Mechanics

Uncover proper left hand placement, posture, and grip so that your can play with ease no matter where you play on the neck.

Right Hand Mechanics

Learn the most efficient ways to anchor your picking hand for ultimate comfort, precision, and articulation.

Rhythmic Ear-Training

Enhance your ability to lock into the pocket where true speed and control is found with all areas of movement. You'll improve your sound and find that this is the very thing that makes a proficient player truly great.

Smoothness

Again, your ears are the gateway to speed and accuracy. When you learn how to control a single note you learn how to control the many. This concept coupled with repetition will blow open your physical and mental barriers.

Dial In Your Routine

Once you have the identified the problematic areas of your playing and are able to apply a methodology that works, you can start defining the contents of your routine around your busy schedule. This way you're allowed to focus daily consistency rather than feeling like your running out of time every time you "get" a change to sit down and practice.
